Wild Grass Fires

Dear resident

We are seeing an increased risk of grass fires right now due to dry conditions. Even a small spark can spread quickly and put people, wildlife and property at risk.

Please help prevent fires by:

·  Not lighting campfires or BBQs in open grass areas

·  Disposing of cigarettes responsibly - never drop them on the ground

·  Taking all litter home, especially glass bottles which can start fires in sunlight

If you spot a fire:

·  Move to a safe location immediately

·  call emergency services (999) and provide clear details of the location
